Dexter is my newest addition. He is a little spitfire of a dog to say the least!!! He is one of the smartest dogs I have ever trained and his ability to learn and understand new things constantly amazes me!! He LOVES to work, and he is always on the go. His comic relief is something that I never tire of. I am so excited to see what this little guy will grow up to achieve. Many fond memories to come I am sure!!
Dexter is now over a year of age, and still I am thrilled with him! He can easily weave 12 poles and rarely gets his entry wrong. He will run a jumpers course with me very well. We are now working on some more complicated handling cues, rear and front cross, deceleration and also working jump grids for compression and extension. When playing frisbee he rarely misses the chance to catch a disc. He is catching just about any disc I throw for him now, even if the throw is over 100Ft! He is drive, power and focus. He is awesome! This summer he went into the pool for the first time, he had a great time chasing and retrieving the toys. I had him do some high jumping as well last weekend. He easily cleared 5 bars. Not bad for a young fellow!
